Christmas message

I don't know what kind of Christmas it will be this year - white seems likely, but with family scattered over the country it might be a very quiet one too if people can't get home for the holidays. I just hope this new snowfall today doesn't last too long. We are all but cut off again as I think the farmer has given up trying to clear the farm road, but at least we got our new boiler installed the other day so we are warm and toasty.
I'll be signing off for the holidays as there is a lot of work to be done over on our new Trade website. It's taking shape but there's still a long way to go, so any computer time will be spent there.
We've got two orders left to do and I can't imagine there will be any more before the big day, so it's time now to get everything ready in case our family do make it through the snow ( I'm sure they will!)
So Merry Christmas to you all - I hope you have a lovely time and see you back here soon. I'll leave you with today's snow pictures.

It's Snowing in Blogland

I've just found this little snow widget for the blog, so I thought I should have a couple of snow scenes to show it off to full effect. This was our walk through the golf course yesterday morning.

And this is the low winter sun just getting above the Firth of Forth.

And here's a peek into our cosy living room from the outside looking in.
Merry Christmas from Blacketyside.

Snow? What snow?

A bit of colour to start with in the form of one of our new Flower Patch cards.

This snowman was created by our daughter and husband in their garden near Nottingham, nowhere near Fife (see below).

Britain is apparently hidden under a blanket of snow. Transport has ground to a halt, schools closed, snowmen sprouting up all over the place......except here in Fife! We have brown ground, dark skies and freezing temperatures, but... no snow.

The workshop is almost too cold to work in and we're mostly huddled round the coal fire - very cosy - but not conducive to work! The photo was taken at Christmas, I have to say, hence the decorations, but the fire is just as cosy now - minus decorations.

Work hasn't stopped though. We're making headway with the orders from the Trade Fair - the first batch went out this week - and we've had a steady stream of website customers, the latest from Australia where the sun is no doubt shining and it's hot. Ah well, Spring can't be too far away here.
